Fiery Finishes for Murphy

Three times Terry Murphy went to the line for Pro Nitrous qualifying on Friday in Virginia and three times he headed back to the pits after sending a fireball through the scoop on his ཻ Corvette immediately upon launching.

"We eventually found the coil wire was grounding out and causing a miss in several cylinders," Murphy explained. "Then, when it finally fired all that air/fuel mixture just ignited. Fortunately, it wasn't really hurting anything, but I'm pretty tired of looking at fire."

Murphy has one last shot today at getting into eliminations for the ADRL Speedtech U.S. Drags III.
